Students are still required to properly fill out their own agendas each day. It is important for parents to initial student agendas to indicate that they are up to date on what is happening in our class, and that their child has properly completed homework.
What is homework?
Homework in this class will never be "EXTRA" work. Homework is:
1. To PRACTICE new concepts learned in class. This often may include online practice using some of our subscribed web applications.
2. To PREPARE for a test or presentation.
3. RESEARCH for an extension activity to be completed during class time. (Please note: Extension activities (e.g. unit projects and assignments) are to be completed during class, however research to prepare for these projects may be completed at home.)
4. To FINISH work that was not completed during allotted class time. (Please note: Students are often given enough time during class to complete work so if your son/daughter is repeatedly bringing home large amounts of class work to complete at home, it is most likely because they are not using their class time wisely.)
